Expect to encounter both the incredible gorilla trekking experience and the genuine Rwandan culture and heritage during this 8-day Rwanda wildlife and cultural tour. We will take you on a once-in-a-lifetime monkey tour and canopy walk in Nyungwe Forest National Park. Kigali is where this gorilla tour safari will begin and finish.
Our company representative will greet and brief you when you arrive at Kigali Airport and then take you to your hotel, where you may rest, have dinner, and spend the night at The Manor Hotel or its equivalent.
Following an early morning breakfast, you will go to Butare, Rwanda’s second-largest city and known as the country’s intellectual center. It is home to the National Museum as well as a number of educational and research facilities. A visit to Nyanza (now Nyabisindu), the former Mwami’s (King’s) palace and the location of the feudal kingdom, is appropriate when traveling to Butare.
If not the best ethnographic museum in East Africa, the National Museum is a well-organized place to visit. It’s a reliable resource for learning about Rwanda’s and the region’s cultural past.
Enjoy a breathtaking performance of the national ballet by the Intore-dancers following the museum tour. Many people consider the performance to be one of the highlights of a safari. After lunch in Butare, we will go to Nyungwe Forest National Park in the afternoon. To get the most recent information on the presence of the semi-habituated groups of chimps and colobus monkeys, your driver-guide will make a stop at the Uwinka headquarters. This aids in your preparation for the events of the following day. Overnight and dinner at the Nyungwe Top View Hotel or Gisakura Guest House

Day 4: Go to KIbuye and spend the afternoon unwindingFollowing breakfast, you will travel to Kibuye, where you will see the verdant fields of tea plantations before touring Lake Kivu’s coastline.
Of the three resorts on Lake Kivu, Kibuye is the most stunning. This is where lunch will be served. The majority of participants look forward to their leisurely time on Lake Kivu’s shores after Nyungwe! Bilharzia is not present in Lake Kivu! The rest of the day is spent relaxing.
Lake Kivu is special. There is a vast amount of dissolved gas in its deep waters. Actually, there are 65 billion cubic meters of methane—the equivalent of 50 million tons of gasoline—lying beneath 250 meters of water at the lake’s bottom. If harnessed, this energy—true manna from heaven—would give Rwanda a nearly limitless supply of energy, relieving it of the burden of meeting energy requirements associated with its development initiatives. A methane extraction pilot station is available for energy production. Overnight and dinner in Lake Kivu Serena Hotel or a comparable
You go northeast today, along Lake Kivu. You will have the chance to witness rural residents’ everyday lives as they have been lived for ages, essentially unaltered. See the locals at work as they grow bananas, cassava, sorghum, beans, rice, potatoes, and even coffee in their narrow, steep fields along this beautiful road. There are also numerous enormous tea plantations, villages, countless small brickworks, and surprises everywhere you look. Discover Rwanda Gisenyi Beach for dinner and the night.
With Volcanoes National Park about an hour’s drive from your hotel, you may do as much or as little as you like. You may enjoy the serene lake while remaining on the beach! If you’re game, we’ll stop along the road to see some incredible places: Nyundo, home to several craft stores, and the Imbabazi Orphanage in Mugongo. Transfer to Volcanoes National Park in the afternoon. Dinner and the night at Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge or Hotel Muhabura
Following an early breakfast, you will report to the ORTPN officesin Rwanda, where your driver-guide will take care of the required paperwork. You will be briefed about the best ape experience ever by your ranger guide or guides. You will eat lunch at your hotel or in Ruhengeri after the trek, and then you will go on an excursion to see the stunning lakes in the area, Lake Bulera and Ruhondo, in the afternoon.
